coin jewelry, coin necklace

I have always loved handcrafted jewelry.  There is something so special about coin jewelry, and throughout the years, I have enjoyed some beautiful handmade jewelry made with various coins.

Recently, I discovered an ecommerce store that catered to handcrafted jewelry made with coins.  I have always loved the old English movies, and since I was watching my traditional "Christmas Carol" movie, I thought of the sixpence coin.  I went onto Old Money Corp located at http://www.oldmoneycorp.com.  There I found a lovely Sixpence Ring.  The price was so affordable, and it was exactly what I wanted to celebrate this time of year.

When I was a young girl, I had an Uncle who made me a coin necklace out of a dime.  I loved that coin necklace, and I wore it for years.  Eventually, I found come coin earrings to match, and I thought I was the stuff!  Somewhere along the way, I lost them; but, I never forgot them and how much pleasure they brought me.

Now I have found a great internet discount store that has some of the same types of handmade jewelry utilizing the coins I so-loved long ago.  I plan on purchasing some for myself, and I want to start a collection for my granddaughter.  Although she is only seven, I hope to have her quite a stash of coin jewelry by the time she is grown.  She really likes my coin jewelry, and she is amazed at how coins are used in such a way that anyone can enjoy them as handmade jewelry. 

My daughters love the coin jewelry too.  I want to get each a coin necklace, and if they seem as impressed as I was, I shall continue in my quest to add to their collection.

Men seem to like coin jewelry too.  I found a great man's ring on the site, and I plan on purchasing that one for my significant other.  I also found a leather cuff I felt he would like; so there is another possible gift down the road.  I remember when my Uncle first started making the dime coin necklace, we all thought it was illegal to damage a coin.  However, things change, and now coins are "in" as handmade jewelry.  What is even more of a treat is the usage of foreign coins to make the coin jewelry. 

You can purchase your coin jewelry, connect it with something you love as I did with the movie, and you have a great gift and an additional tale with it.  All-in-all, I am pleased with my find, and I have large Bookmark on the site.
