My daughters and girlfriend are big fan's of handmade jewelry, specifically the handmade jewelry made by the artists from the southwestern American states. These craftsmen and craftswomen make absolutely beautiful handmade jewelry with turquoise being a prominent native material for many of these rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. My daughters began their fascination with this style of handmade jewelry because their mother was a big collector of the turquoise jewelry. I also like the look of this style of jewelry as it has a very distinctive look and can be worn with all but the most formal clothing. I have a wrist watch band decorated with this American native southwestern theme and it has held up well. this is what I like about handmade jewelry of any kind---it is usually so well constructed you never need worry about the jewelry breaking under daily use. And as anyone who knows my daughters and I we are not always careful with the jewelry we wear. Especially me. I normally only wear a watch but I have ruined new watches in as little as a months time by getting them wet or dropping the watch.
