coin jewelry, coin necklace Being a fan history myself, I bet coin jewelry is a gift just about anyone interested in the past would love to have. When I was taking history courses in college my favorite as weird as this sounds was Pirate History. After finding out about coin jewelry I was immediately reminded of the life of a pirate. Many of the copper or gold looking coins on this type of unique jewelry look like they would be something found in a chest buried in a storage haul of Blackbeard’s historic vessel, The Queen Anne’s Revenge. After taking a course on the history of pirates, the allure of traveling the seven seas, looting merchant vessels and hiding treasure in tropical island atolls just didn’t seem as appealing as Hollywood has made it out be. These guys were like starved junk yard dogs. There practices were brutal and their greed killed about just every one of them.

Coin jewelry would make a great accessory for someone dressing up as pirate for Halloween though. Since a handcrafted coin necklace is valuable and extremely unique you could bet no one else would look quite as good in a similar costume. You would definitely have to be careful with such an accessory though. Not a kid’s prop.
