coin jewelry, handmade jewelry
I have always had a thing for coin jewelry.  There is something patriotic about wearing a symbol of our country and culture as an ornament for our bodies.  I had a coin necklace when I was quite young, and I loved that necklace.  My Uncle gave me a lovely piece of coin jewelry when I graduated from high school, and that was all it took and I started collecting coin jewelry and other handmade jewelry.  Through the years I have accumulated more than fifty pieces of handcrafted jewelry.  Many of those pieces include coin jewelry.

decided to look online to see if there were any ecommerce sites that might carry some of this beloved coin jewelry, and much to my delight, I discovered Old Money Corp located at http://oldmoneycorp.com/.  This internet site has a huge collection of beautiful and unusual pieces of handmade jewelry.  The prices were more than fair, and the quality of workmanship is outstanding.

While looking at this neat site, I found a perfect Mercury Dime ring which was unlike any other coin rings I have acquired.  The ring matched some mercury dime earrings I purchased several years ago.  That was my gift to myself for my birthday.

It is nice shopping for this type of handcrafted jewelry because it is so unusual.  This handmade jewelry makes the perfect gift when you want to do something really special.  This type of gift is one that makes an impression.  I have helped others start their own collection of coin jewelry by giving them their first piece as a gift. Sometimes I just go with a leather cuff, and that cuff with implants of various coins makes far more of an impression than a diamond piece would.

I love my coin jewelry, and I plan on maintaining and enlarging this collection for the remainder of my life.  My granddaughter has already shown a tremendous interest in my collection.  She is only seven-years-old; but, she loves wearing jewelry.  I started her off with a small coin necklace on a leather chain.  She loves it, and she wears it religiously.

Even my grandson wears a leather cuff with a silver dollar on it.  He asked me if he could spend the dollar, and I assured him his arm would fall off, and he would lose his ability to pitch if he did such a thing.  After I calmed him down, I assured him I was just teasing him...However, his Mom is still fuming at that one...
