coin necklace, coin jewelry


I have a very old chinese coin necklace that is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. I have had it since I was in High School. It is made of three chinese coins. They are round coins with a square center cut out of them. The coins are laced together with strands of leather. I have had to replace the clasp that holds the chinese coin necklace around my neck once as the small circle of leather and loop wore through. That is how much I like and wear that coin necklace!

During the years since High School I have found a pair of chinese coin earrings that match the coin necklace perfectly. Together they make a fine set of coin jewelry. I like to visit the traveling art and craft fairs that come to my town every six months or so. That is where I was lucky enough to find both the earrings and coin necklace. I really enjoy it when the crafters create their handmade jewelry right there on the spot. I spend hours going from booth to booth looking at everything and everyone. It makes for a great day.
