Every year in February my friends and I organize a charity event where we hold a dinner and auction to raise funds for those in need. This year, the money collected always goes beyond our expectations and the generosity of others is amazing. My friends and I look for unique items to purchase and add to the auction and some companies actually donate their time and services. This year, I started looking early, because I wanted to use some handcrafted jewelry that not many had seen in our area.

That's one of the many things I love about the Internet. It allows us to shop in completely different regions and find great prices on things like jewelry that we wouldn't find in our area. I've noticed in some of the trends that coin jewelry is making a huge comeback, so that has been my primary search for the handcrafted jewelry. I wasn't sure what kind of jewelry I could find, but I knew if I could find it anywhere, it would be online.

I wanted something unique, yet also cheerful and something that would be great for spring. I didn't know if I could find coin jewelry like that, but I was certainly going to try. They should be arriving any day now, and we still have several other items to find before we have everything we need for the auction. Then we have to finalize the food and the location and we'll be ready to go.
